Desmond O’Neill: Elite Guest Trainer
Beyond Bulletproof By Evy Poumpouras
About this Class
This month's Elite Guest Trainer Desmond O'Neill, also known as “James” to many of you, is a 30-year law enforcement veteran, having served as a corrections officer, police officer, SWAT team member, and special agent with both the U.S. Secret Service and Homeland Security Investigations.
What You'll Learn
At Beyond Bulletproof, we know the importance of building a formidable inner circle, which is why we’re hyper-selective when it comes to our Elite Guest Trainers. Our mission is to provide our members with a cadre of specialists whose knowledge base and real-world experiences are not only extensive but add authentic value to our community… and this mission applies to our instructors as well.
Having spent years inside an interrogation room, Desmond shares the nuances of what it takes to turn the most menacing foe into an ally without losing your integrity in the process.
During his 22 years as a federal agent, Desmond specialized in high-dollar fraud and bulk cash smuggling investigations, served as the senior firearms instructor, and spent 15 years as an interrogator and polygraph examiner conducting most of his assignments in Central America, West Africa, and the Middle East.
Desmond was also an operator and instructor for the High-Value Detainee Interrogation Group; a unit created by the White House to assess, understand, and conduct complex interrogations on high-threat “packages”.
In addition, he was the Program Manager for his agency’s Internal Affairs Counterintelligence Unit, where he was responsible for identifying, tracking, and charging federal personnel deemed national security risks.
Desmond holds a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and a master’s degree in Homeland Defense and Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School. Desmond is also a graduate of HSx; a thinktank where he co-created a nationally recognized K-12 school shooting database that’s been featured in Vice News, Rolling Stones Magazine, BBC, and the Wall Street Journal.
When not spending time with his family, Desmond enjoys his time on the Jiu Jitsu mat, a quiet cup of coffee, and military sci-fi books on Audible.
If you’re interested in learning how to communicate with the enemy, then this session promises to deliver.
“Victory lies in the minutia”
