About this Class
Have you ever watched someone enter a room and were instantly captivated by the way they carried themselves? They seemed to walk with an air of certainty that commanded strength and presence: shoulders back, eyes up and alert, chin parallel to the floor. That’s confidence. Although confidence comes from within, being able to radiate it skillfully is what gets you noticed.
What You'll Learn
Exuding confidence is a learned skill. It’s NOT about “fake it until you make it,” which only leads to imposter syndrome. It’s about owning your space. It’s about being present in who you are wherever you are. Research suggests approximately 66% of our communication comes from our nonverbal behavior which means how you carry yourself matters.
So, what does your body language say about you? Do you appear open or closed off? Do you make eye contact with those around you or avoid it? Does your posture imply empowerment or imprisonment? The way you show up to the world says a lot about how you feel about yourself.
In this month’s topic discussion, I do a total body breakdown of how our nonverbal behavior can set us up for success or failure. Whether you’re out on the town, in front of the boardroom, or meeting a potential love interest for the first time, the first impression you make becomes their lasting impression of you. So, learn to own it!
